WHAT TO BRING ON AN UNBOUND MOUNTAIN BIKE TOUR
Multiple layers of clothing for changes in temperature or weather. Active wear works best on the trails.
Comfortable, solid sole shoes (preferably biking or tennis shoes)
Sunglasses or eye protection
Sunscreen and bug spray
Water
*If you plan to bring your cell phone on the tour, please have a plan for where to put this so it does not fall out during the ride (i.e. zippered pocket)
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE TOUR
CHECK-IN
Upon arrival each rider will start by filling out a check-in form and waiver.
BIKE SET UP
Following check-in, each rider will receive their bike. Adjustments will be made to ensure the bike fits the rider appropriately. If you have your own helmet, great! If not, feel free to borrow one of ours.
PRE-RIDE SAFETY TALK
Prior to every ride we will provide a quick overview of basic mountain biking safety and etiquette.
PRE-RIDE SKILL ASSESSMENT
Before hitting the trails we will provide some riding tips. Riders will have the opportunity to become familiar with their bikes. This is a great time for questions and for us to assess each riders skill level.
*Unbound Tours does not provide riding instruction or skills clinics. The tour includes a mountain bike rental and a guided riding experience. If you are interested in instruction, let us know and we would be happy to make recommendations to other local services!
GUIDED RIDE
Time to ride! We'll guide riders on trails suited to the groups skill level. We can guide throughout your time on the trails or if you are feeling comfortable and want to venture out on your own just let us know.
BIKE RETURN
At the end of your ride, return your bike and helmet to us at the trail head and we will take care of the rest.
